Emergency Relief
Four Corners vision is to be like Jesus. We become more like Jesus when we help those in need.
In Matthew 25: 34-40 the Bible says, “Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
Food Distribution
Feeding the Hungry in Uganda
Feeding the Hungry in Uganda - FCM recognizes that before people can be receptive to the Good News of Jesus, their basic needs have to be met. Food distribution is one component of every trip that FCM facilitates. These are the desperately poor, the individuals who live in some of the worst conditions. All relief is channeled through the local church on the ground so that the nationals receive the food as an extension of the church.
Optical Care
FCM mission team treat Sudanese with eye exams and trains two believers in how to conduct eye exams
Basic eye care is taken for granted in North America. America is blessed with the most technologically advanced health care system in the world, and most people rarely think about the difficulty in accessing basic health care in Third World countries.
"We take for granted in the U.S. something as simple as eye care and how important it is to have good eye sight to receive an education and work," said Paul Wilson, an FCM team member who spent eight days in Sudan training individuals to conduct eye exams with donated medical equipment. "There is no trained eye care professional in Southern Sudan. Buying eye glasses is just not an option when you are more concerned about putting food on the table and having water to drink."
Paul treated patients who came to Lui and he helped train two men who will take the mobile eye care clinic that FCM donated out into the "bush".
Evangelism is difficult in the part of the world, but the Sudanese know that the mobile eye care clinic and the optical ministry are provided in the name of Jesus Christ.
